How to remove the Network Lock on your Blackberry 9900

Blackberry 9900 MEP4 Unlock Instructions

Follow these Step-By-Step Instructions. You can also watch the Free Blackberry 9900 unlock video that shows you this step by step guide in video format.


bullet oneInsert a SIM Card  into the Phone. Make sure that your phone's battery is fully charged.

bullet twoPower the Phone ON by holding down the End  End Button  Key.

bullet threePress the Blackberry Menu  Menu Button  Key and Select the Spanner Icon labelled either "Options" or "Settings".

bullet sixScroll down and Select the Option labelled "SIM Card"


Sim Card Screen


bullet sevenNow you will see some text on screen. Enter via the Keypad "MEPD"
Do this by pressing   M Key key, E Key key, P key key D Key key.


Note: When typing over the screen you will not see anything
appear on the screen as you type.



Sim Card Security Ddisabled Screen


bullet eightThe Display should show "Sim Card: Security Disabled" and should show only "Service Provider" as "Active".

If you don't see this screen - proceed to Step 9.


Personalisation Screen


Proceed to enter MEP4 Unlock Codes to remove "Service Provider Lock".


bullet nineNow type MEP4.
Do this by pressing and holding down the Alt Key key permanently and then press  M Key key, E Key key, D Key key and the 4 Key key


bullet tenThe Phone will prompt "Enter Network MEP Code (? left).

bullet nineEnter the Supplied "MEP4 Unlock Codes" and select Enter by pressing the Center button.

bullet tenThe Phone will display "Code Accepted".  In case you get a "Code Error", see below.

bullet elevenThe Phone will return to previous screen and Display all Locks as Disabled.

If you don't see this screen - proceed to Step 13.


Sim Card: Security Disabled


bullet twelvePower down the phone by holding down the Red End End Button Key for 10 Seconds

bullet thirteenInsert New Sim Card and Power Phone On by holding down the Red End End Button Key.

bullet sixteenUnlock Procedure Complete.




For Code Error

If you receive a Code Error" try the next Unlock code in your list. Do NOT enter any code more than once.
